Frequently asked questions

What is the address for the Capital Region MU Health Care Amphitheater?

Need to put the address into your car’s sat-nav to find the amphitheater? The address is: CRMU Amphitheater, 1505 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65101.

Is the Capital Region Amphitheater a cashless venue?

Though some of the onsite vendors might be willing to accept cash, most will likely require you to pay without it. You can do this with a credit or debit card or a digital wallet service, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.

However, it’s recommended to carry at least a small amount of cash with you in case you need it for purchasing or tipping. For example, while on your way to or from the venue, you might need to buy crucial supplies from a vendor only accepting cash.

What should I bring with me to the venue?

As mentioned above, it’s advisable to bring at least some cash. You should also bring a debit or credit card, your ticket to the show (of course), and a valid ID. The last of those can come in very useful if you want to buy alcohol at the amphitheater.

As this venue is outdoors, you should also wear clothes suitable for the expected weather. Even if the weather looks set to be relatively mild on the day, you might want to carry a rain jacket or poncho. After all, you can never be certain whether the temperature could suddenly plummet unexpectedly during the show.

Of course, knowing what to bring also entails knowing what not to bring. For this reason, you should pay strong attention to the Capital Region Amphitheater website’s list of prohibited items when preparing for your night out.

What beverages are served at the Capital Region Amphitheater?

These include alcoholic beverages like beer and liquor as well as non-alcoholic beverages for those guests who prefer to stay teetotal.

How far in advance should I arrive at the venue for the show?

This could largely depend on the event. There’s always the risk that on your way to the venue, you get caught up in traffic congestion. Even if you do arrive at the ‘right’ time, there could be unexpectedly long queues for merchandise or concessions. This obviously wouldn’t be convenient if you were really eager to buy merchandise, food, or drink before the show rather than after.

These are all risks that could apply no matter which show you want to see at the amphitheater. However, these risks are heightened when you’re seeing a popular show.

As a general rule, you should aim to arrive at the venue roughly an hour before the show is set to start. If it is sold out or features an especially high-profile act, you might want to give yourself even more leeway. The more popular the event, the busier the roads to the venue could be and the longer the queues at the venue could be.

When do the Capital Region Amphitheater’s doors open?

Doors usually open between 90 minutes and two hours before the show’s scheduled start time, but the type of event can be a factor. Don’t be surprised if, for a show with an especially famous headline act, the doors open even earlier!
